The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), [9] established in 1906, is under the Department of Health and Human Services and authorized by Congress (the federal government). It is the main administrative regulatory department for food, drugs, and cosmetics in the United States and the highest law enforcement agency for food and drug supervision.
