IRIS ISO 22163
ISO 22163 (an international railway industry standard) is an exclusive quality management system standard specifically formulated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the railway industry. It is hailed as the "upgraded version of ISO 9001 for the railway sector". Its predecessor was the IRIS standard jointly developed by major European railway companies. It was officially incorporated into the ISO system in 2017 and the latest version, ISO 22163:2023, was released in 2023, becoming the "common language" for the global railway supply chain.
